Candace, M.Ed.

A graduate of Bowdoin College with an advanced degree in education from the University of New Hampshire (MEd), Candace has significant experience as a college admissions advisor and career counselor. She has successfully guided students from across the US and the globe through the college admission process.

For the past sixteen years Candace served as Sr. Associate Director of College Counseling at a selective boarding school in the mid-Atlantic. She has built important alliances with a large number of colleges, which enriches her current role as a college admissions advisor. Prior to joining College Connections, she also was the Sr. Associate Director of the Career Development Center at Mount Holyoke College.

Candace is committed to helping students find the right “fit” for their college goals and interests. She is skilled at developing a balanced college list, helping students write essays that capture their personality, and guiding through the final decision and financial aid process. Candace also administers the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator and works with students on college major and career clarification.

One of Candace’s current students writes, “"With her years of experience and the diversity of students she has worked with, Candace is a true professional; she is a careful and perceptive listener whose thoughtfulness is reflected in her incredible ability to balance the students' character, the family's needs, as well as individual colleges' preferences. Most importantly, Candace loves to do what she does best and genuinely strives to help the student find his or her best path for the future."
